Louis Simmons

Louis D. Simmons, MHA, FACHE, CMPE joined MedCura Health, Inc. on January 5, 2026, and serves as its Director of Operations, Whitefoord Clinics. In this role, Mr. Simmons provides leadership for the operational functions for the Whitefoord Clinics and as a member of the Executive Leadership team contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategic planning, policies, and practices.

Prior to joining MedCura Health, Inc., Mr. Simmons served as Chief Operating Officer for Whitefoord, Inc. Mr. Simmons provided executive leadership and strategic focus in the overall management of the organization and the day-to-day operations of an early education program, Whitefoord Early Learning Academy, and five clinical sites consisting of two community health centers and three school-based health centers. During his tenure at Whitefoord, Inc., the organization realized growth in early education student enrollment, patient clinical visit volume, unique clinical patient count volume, early education and clinical services revenues, and successful reaccreditation of the early education program and clinical care sites by their respective accrediting bodies.

In June 2005, Mr. Simmons began his healthcare career at Emory Healthcare as an Administrative Fellow and after completing the two year Fellowship program he spent combined the next approximately seven years at Emory Healthcare and Emory University providing healthcare management and leadership in the acute care setting within Perioperative and Endoscopic Services across three hospitals and in the physician group practice setting within the department of Gynecology and Obstetrics across three practice sites. Mr. Simmons followed his Emory tenure by serving the next seven years at the following organizations leading multi-specialty group practice operations across multiple clinical sites for Athens Regional Health System’s Athens Regional Physicians Group and the faculty practice plan of Morehouse School of Medicine, Inc., Morehouse Healthcare, Inc.

Mr. Simmons earned a Master of Health Administration degree from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Sociology from Emory University. Mr. Simmons is board certified in Healthcare Management from the American College of Healthcare Executives and is board certified in Medical Practice Management from the Medical Group Management Association. Mr. Simmons is a Returned United States Peace Corps Volunteer after serving as a health volunteer in The Gambia, West Africa with the United States Peace Corps program. Mr. Simmons resides in Decatur, Georgia with his wife and son.
