April is Sexually Transmitted Infection Awareness Month

April is Sexual Transmitted Infection (STI) Month. This month is intended to raise awareness about STIs and how they impact our lives; reduce STI-related stigma, fear, and discrimination; and ensure people have the tools and knowledge for prevention, testing, and treatment.

Although many STIs are preventable, there are more than 20 million estimated new cases in the United States each year — and rates are increasing. Get the facts and remember STIs are real. #ProtectYourself #ProtectYourPartner

If you are sexually active, or thinking of becoming sexually active, it’s important that you Talk.Test.Treat to protect your health. These three small actions can have a big impact on your sexual health and avoid the long-term effects of an untreated infection: Say YES to TEST every year and with every new partner YESmeansTEST.org.
